Have a question about Milestone Montessori? We would love to answer!
What makes Milestone Montessori school “authentic”? What is the AMS accreditation process and are you accredited?
We follow the Montessori method with integrity, as outlined by the American Montessori Society (AMS). This includes certified Montessori educators, mixed-age classrooms, uninterrupted work periods, and hands-on Montessori materials. Every detail is rooted in Montessori principles from our Infant Community through Primary.
We are currently on the American Montessori Society (AMS) accreditation pathway. From our first day, we’ve been a Verified School (Step 2 on the Pathway of Continuous School Improvement). We’re committed to completing full accreditation through this voluntary, multi-year process. Learn More
Do infants and toddlers really benefit from Montessori?
Yes! The early years are when foundational development happens. In our Montessori Infant and Toddler Communities, children are supported in movement, communication, independence, and emotional development, all at their own pace. These years are not just care – they’re education.
Do you offer part-time schedules or extended care?
Yes. We offer a half-day option in addition to our full-day program. We also provide before care and after care for families who need extended hours. We do not offer a 2-day or 3-day a week program. See all available schedules.
Is Montessori right for every child?
Montessori can be a great fit for many children, especially those who thrive with independence, hands-on learning, and consistency. Our admissions process helps ensure it’s a good match for both your child and your family. Learn more about our admissions process.
What does a typical day look like in a Montessori classroom?
Each classroom follows a thoughtful rhythm, including:
An uninterrupted work cycle where children choose meaningful work
Outdoor time, practical life work, language, math, and cultural lessons
Community time, social time, and quiet rest periods
Children are active participants in their day – not passive learners.
How do you support children transitioning into the school?
We work closely with families to ensure a smooth, respectful transition. This may include shorter initial days, gradual introductions, and regular communication. Our goal is to build a foundation of trust from day one.
Where can I find tuition information?
