Hi! I’m Alyssa Brown, born and raised in Houston, Texas. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Houston, a Master’s in Education from the Institute of Educational Studies, and I’m currently working toward a Child Development Associate credential. Over the past 10 years, I’ve worked with children in many roles — art teacher, tutor, assistant guide, after-school art and science teacher, and summer camp coordinator. I now serve as a lead teacher in an early childhood Montessori classroom. Working with children is not just my career but my passion and calling. Outside the classroom, I enjoy creating art, exploring nature, reading, writing, and photography. What I love most about Montessori is its deep respect for the whole child. I’m committed to supporting each child’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development, and I find great joy in guiding them as they grow into empathetic, capable individuals.
